When your Flexera Software product purchase is made, an account is created for your organization in the Flexera Software Product and License Center. A user account for the purchaser is added to the account in the Flexera Software Product and License Center, and a welcome email message with sign-in credentials is sent to the purchaser. If you are the purchaser of the product, you can sign in to the Product and License Center with the credentials that are included in the welcome email message.
FLEXnet Licensing provides utilities for the license administrator to help manage the licensing activities on the network. Always use the newest version of the utilities as possible; they are available for download from www.macrovision.com. Table 7-1 lists these utilities. The Help Center provides access to the Help for your application and to other resources such as free tutorials and What’s New information. To open the Help Center click in your application. Alternatively, you can learn about user interface items with context-sensitive Help using the F1 key.
If you are not the purchaser and a user account has not been added to the account for you, you can request access by visiting the Join New Account page, and entering your organization's account ID (which is included in the order confirmation email message).
When you complete the form on the Join New Account page, an email message is sent to your organization's account administrator. If the account administrator approves your access, your account becomes active and you are sent an email message with sign-in instructions.
The following sections provide account-related information.
Account Administrator Tasks
Your organization's account administrator plays a key role in managing your organization's account. Administrators can add users and manage their privileges.
The account administrator role can be fulfilled by one central administrator or can be distributed across multiple administrators in an organization. By default, this role is assigned to the person who placed the order for the Flexera Software product.
If you are your organization's account administrator, can add users to your organization's account, approve their access requests, and manage their privileges.
If users complete the Join New Account page on the site, you will receive an email message from the Product and License Center with a request to consider approving their request.
To add users to your organization's account:
- Sign in to the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
- In the left navigation, under Administration, click Account Members.
- Click the Add New Member button. The Add New Member page opens.
- Fill out the account information for the new user, and then click the Save button.
To approve access for another user:
- Sign in to the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
- In the left navigation, under Administration, click Accounts Members.
- Click the List Inactive Members button.
- Find the name of the user whose account you want to approve, and click their name. The Reactivate Member page opens.
- Select the Send Email check box to notify the user about access to the Flexera Software Product and License Center, and then click the Reactivate Member button.
To grant administrator privileges and/or download privileges to a user:
- Sign in to the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
- In the left navigation, under Administration, click Accounts Members.
- Find the name of the member to whom you want to grant administrator privileges.
- Do one or both of the following:
- To grant administrator privileges to the user, select the Admin Privileges check box for the user.
- To grant download product privileges to the user, select the Download Privileges check box for the user.
- Click the Update Member Privileges button.
The Product and License Center sends the user an email message with instructions on how to sign in to the site.
User Access Tasks
If you did not receive a welcome message or you do not know your password for accessing the Product and License Center:
- Visit the Password Finder page of the Product and License Center.
- Enter your email address, and then click the Submit button.
If the email address that you entered has an active account on the site, the Product and License Center sends an email message with sign-in instructions to that email address.
To request access to your organization's account on the Product and License Center:
- Visit the Join New Account page of the Product and License Center.
- Fill out the form, and click the Submit button.

The Product and License Center sends an access request through email to your organization's account administrators. Once your request has been approved, you will receive a welcome email message with instructions on how to sign in.
To find out who in your organization has administrator privileges (after you have been given access to the site):
- Sign in to the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
- In the left navigation, under Administration, click Accounts Members.
- Review the list of users.

The users who are administrators have a flag next to their name in the Administrator column.

You can click a user's or administrator's name to send an email message to them through your default email software.
