• Sep 16, 2018  You already listed the best one: Castlevania SOTN. 2D fighters aren't worth playing on the PS1 if you own a Saturn. Suikoden 2 is one of the best games on the system and is 2D.
• Jun 01, 2012  Great games, but not quite a standard 2D game. While on the not quite 2D games. Incredible Crisis. The game is 3D, but you really don't do much other than say, dodge left or right (while rolling down a street on a bike, or hospital gurney) or walk a flag pole. Silent Bomber is a over the top (ala Gauntlet Legends) face paced game of awesome.

Well as the topic says, ' Are you like me a fan of 2D games for the PSP( 2.5 - employed 3D graphics ) and would you like more games like these for the PSP

Sep 18, 2012  BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable, at the very least is pretty fun Senritsu no Stratus mixes in 2D and 3D sections. Both Maverick Hunter X and Megaman Powered Up are solid 2.5D platformers. Action speaks louder than words.

1) Metal Slug Anthology. many has played this on the PSP and Neo Geo, and it is one of my absolute favourite games for the PSP, I never played it on the Neo Geo, but OH MY what a great game. I especially like Metal Slug 3 and Metal Slug X because of the attack of the UFO´s, it has such a great story line and game-play.

2) Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins I have loved this game since way back in the days when I used to play it on my C64, It has such beauteful 3D employed graphics and I have been 'hooked' for more than a month now. ( but I am having a bit of a trouble with finding all the keys ). I know it has not gotten great reviews , which I really cant understand, because I love the game.

3) Patapon, it is really a fun game, kinda simple graphics simple but the way you play with rhythm is amazing and it seems to have a great storyline, I have only finished stage 1, but I am looking forward going back to game and play some more once I have finished some other games on my PSP.

4 ) LocoRoco I bought it for cheap and it is surprisingly good, it does remind me of Patapon ( kinda simple graphics but what a great puzzle ) again this is a game I have to return to once I have finished some other games. And Oh ! great that gamers are hyped over LocoRoco 2 .

5) Ikuze Gen San. I have the demo version but this game seems amazing, this a type of game that I absolute love and would like to see much more on the PSP.( but is it only released in Japan ? )

6) Prinny. Again I only have the demo, but I love it , love it.

7) Hitman Reborn. Again I only have the demo, In my world this might not be a ****c kind of 2D game, but 2D it is and I love this game too, well at least the demo version is great. ( I have the Tekken bundle UMD, people might not concider this as a true 2.5 game but nevertheless, what a great game. )

8 ) Castlevania. I have yet to play this game. I know this is a ****c from the other consoles, so I am buying this game hopefully to December.

10) Bleach ( I tried the demo, it is pretty fun )

11) Bionic Commando Rearmed. WHY OH WHY is this game only playable if you have a PS3, I want this game so bad !.

I would love to see ****cs games like . Renegade, Double Dragon, Green Beret, Rick Dangerous, Creatures 1 & 2. I loved those type of games for my C64 and I can only dream of how great they would be as 2D games for the PSP. :)

A two-dimensional platform game with traits of an adventure game and a stealth game. The title, developed by Oddworld Inhabitants, takes place in an unknown planet inhabited by the race of Mudokons. The main protagonist of the game, Abe, is a Mudokon as well. The race is being abused by evil Glukkons, who force them to slave labor in a mine. When the protagonist discovers the new plans of the “master race” (they want to process Mudokons into tasty food), he decides to escape and save his friends from the danger. In Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee the player is jumping between platforms, sneaking up behind the backs of their opponents and solving various environmental riddles. During the game the protagonist can also give orders to other Mudokons. Since the protagonist has no health bar or energy, a single enemy hit is enough to kill him – in that case Abe respawns at the beginning of the level. The title lacks any interface – all information is presented in the level or on special tutorial screens.
